some stuff i did

The First Symposium of Research Students from International Veterinary Schools.

The Korean veterinary students hosted a pop dance show at the student dormitory where it was confirmed that I do not understand Korean culture.  It was good fun, and there was cake.

On July 1st we attended the embassy’s Canada Day celebrations.  Oh Canada was sung in Menglish/Frongolian by a tenor who made himself heard all the way to Canada.  His performance was impressive, in that it left you somewhat dazed.
The Canadian ambassador to Mongolia, by the way, has got to be The Nicest Man working for Stephen Harper.  His subdued way of speaking belies a punchy personality and propensity for cursing.  Before we left the party, he badgered the waiters into bringing us take-out containers, which he encouraged us fill to the brim from the buffet.
